    Responsibilities

    • Develop, maintain, manage and execute a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting on risks that may impact organizational performance and supporting policies and procedures.
    • Interact with management to gauge and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation.
    • Responsible for assessing the control environment for COSD - Relationship Associates, understanding the key controls, recommending new controls and evaluate the existing control framework.
    • Maintain the Risk Register, Control Test Script and Department Operational Risk Plan documents as new procedures are introduced or existing procedures are changed.
    • Develop, implement, monitor and report key performance indicators and metrics for COSD teams.
    • Perform periodic testing of the controls identified on the RA Risk Register, document each test and subsequent findings utilizing the designated software application for capturing and reporting key information as needed, and communicate findings with respective management personnel and provide a formal report of testing and findings.
    • Identify training requirements through analysis of repetitive errors and provide information to management for resolution.
    • Assist management with identification and development of procedures to mitigate risk and increase the effectiveness of the controls.
    • Assist management to design and deliver educational, training or other materials to support desired organizational risk management culture.
    • Assist with special projects as a subject matter expert (SME) on the control environment for COSD – Relationship Associates.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years banking experience, including risk or audit experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business preferred; or commensurate work experience acceptable
    • Specific knowledge of risk management frameworks, corporate governance, process improvement, project management, bank operations, products and services, and regulations
    • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make independent and sound judgment calls on resolutions
    • Ability to independently identify document and present recommendations for process and control changes
    • Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and employees using proven customer service skills
    • Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, independently prioritizes competing tasks, well organized and detail-oriented to handle diverse and concurrent assignments
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a proactive style
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player; Work as a member of a cohesive team with the ability to tactfully communicate with leadership and other employees, as well as offer assistance to others during peak periods
    • Strong Microsoft application knowledge (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) and aptitude for grasping and using various bank software applications
