    Texas Capital Bank is growing, as is its internal communications team. This role presents a tremendous opportunity for an experienced communications professional to shape the function, set the standard for communications at the bank and elevate the role of internal communications.

     

    The Internal Communications Manager will be a strategic advisor to leaders across the bank, including senior leadership, human resources, marketing, IT and other key departments driving initiatives crucial to the bank's success. The position will be responsible for executing communication campaigns that achieve business results, as well as making strategic recommendations through the lens of communications and influencing decisions. The internal communications manager must be a highly strategic thinker who takes an analytic approach to communication planning, applying a deep understanding of the business and employee behaviors to a thoughtful, comprehensive communication approach.  

     

    This person will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders across the organization. As a seasoned communicator, this person must craft artful communications and tell captivating stories that motivate and inspire employees. The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for articulating the organizational narrative, connecting the dots between every decision the bank makes to the company strategy, all while ensuring employees understand the valuable role they play.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the end-to-end internal communications process, to include information gathering, audience analysis, communication goal identification, message development, execution, and gathering feedback to inform future communications.
    • Ideate, design and implement compelling communication plans, campaigns and messages across a variety of mediums that resonate with and engage employees to achieve desired business results.
    • Analyze every scenario independently, leveraging past experiences and best practices while adapting methodology to create a customized solution that solves the situation at hand.
    • Provide strategic counsel to internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization up to senior leadership, building relationships to position oneself as a strategic partner and communication expert to improve the overall communication competency of the bank.
    • Drive employee engagement campaigns designed to inspire and motivate employees around the bank's purpose, mission, values and strategy.
    • Incorporate internal communications trends and best practices, as well as new tools and technologies into the department's repertoire.
    • Lead departmental efforts to collect communication metrics and feedback with the intent of measuring the effectiveness of our efforts and informing future strategies.

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of experience developing and executing strategic communication for a mid-sized to large organization
    • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English or a related field; Master's degree preferred
    • Experience working in a complex environment (e.g., environment spanning multiple hierarchies, functions, shifts, platforms or geographies)
    • Leadership communication background, including providing strategic counsel and drafting speeches, presentations, talking points and other communications that capture a leader's voice
    • Exemplary interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to building relationships with team members and other key stakeholders
    • Deep understanding of employee engagement and culture communication strategies and tactics
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills through a storytelling lens
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams as displayed through project management and change management experience
    • Proficient in PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint preferred
