    Responsibilities

    • Work in conjunction with Loan Syndications and Lines of Business across the Bank’s different markets to identify and pursue new debt opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
    • Analyze the bank’s loan portfolio to unearth potential transactions in M&A and other opportunistic transactions
    • Evaluate financial statements, historical trends, projections, management performance, industry, cash flow and capital structure
    • Conduct modeling and financial analysis of client’s debt capacity under various scenarios
    • Prepare pitch books, working alongside the Loan Syndications team and respective Lines of Business
    • Present new transaction ideas to clients

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3-5 years of previous commercial banking or underwriting experience, preferably middle market
    • Bachelors degree in related field required 
    • Experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Banking environment with strong working knowledge of the capital markets required
    • Advanced quantitative background and analytical skills coupled with attention to detail
    • Formal credit training or commensurate experience required
    • Advanced financial modeling skills required
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements
    • Strong communication skills, including business writing and presentation skills
