    The Bank's Builder Finance team is headquartered in Houston and works with home builders across the country. 


    The ideal candidate will have experience in builder finance banking and either audit or compliance.  They will also have a passion for exceeding regulatory expectations, improving processes and serving others. 


    • Provide expert advice and oversight on compliance matters to Builder Finance business units
      • Review the processes and procedures of all departments
      • Learn all aspects of Builder Finance by working side by side with department managers and designated team members on a regular basis
      • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with each department as well as the corporate compliance and internal audit groups
    • Provide reporting/escalation on compliance programs and risks to Builder Finance leadership
      • Work with Builder Finance leadership on action plans designed to address findings and track timely remediation of internal issues
    • Assist with risk assessments of business units and processes within Builder Finance
    • Perform audits on credit files, builder profile sheets, and other reporting within Builder Finance
    • Advise business units on options for remediating regulatory compliance issues identified through self-assessments, compliance monitoring, compliance control testing, internal audits and regulatory examinations.
    • Assist in special projects and provide status reports on assigned initiatives and special projects to Builder Finance leadership
    • Stay current on the regulatory environment and expectations through discussions with peers, seminars, webinars, roundtables, bankers associations, etc


    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Specific knowledge of the commercial banking industry including the builder finance business, risk management, products and services, and regulation
    • Certification or experience in audit, risk or compliance preferred
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Extremely detail oriented and comfortable working both independently and in team settings
    • Problem solving skills as well as flexibility and adaptability
    • Ability to write reports and create presentations for executive management
    • Ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the department
    • Strong Microsoft application knowledge.  Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
