    Responsibilities

    • Review loan and miscellaneous documentation to determine if it satisfies Bank requirements
    • Perform comprehensive post-closing loan documentation audits for various collateral types including, but not limited to: Commercial, Consumer, Real Estate, Energy and Residential Builder (including participations and syndications)
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all related lien perfection requirements
    • Ensure all required documents are received and reviewed for completeness
    • Comply with all Bank and department policies and procedures as well as state and government bank regulations
    • Identify, track exceptions and work with the business units to clear loan documentation audit exceptions
    • Review, log and/or release negotiable collateral per department procedures
    • Perform collateral review upon receipt of original loan documents, processing and recording all liens to ensure Bank obtains priority lien position
    • Perform ongoing processing and monitoring of subsequent documents to resolve exception items and clear exception tracking system
    • Monitor and assist with incoming requests via the group email box
    • Process research and maintenance requests from business units
    • Review and process collateral lien releases
    • Perform and review UCC lien searches
    • Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: acting as back up for other employees, special projects, data scrub, updating policies and procedures and system testing

     

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have 5 years of banking experience and 3 years experience working in Loan Operations
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider equivalent work experience
    • Must possess demonstrated understanding of loan documentation and lien perfection for all types of collateral types, including, but limited to: Residential, Consumer, Commercial, Vehicle/Aircraft, All Assets, Energy, and Real Estate
    • Must possess knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC-1, UCC-3, UCC Amendments), Commercial Lending and Consumer Compliance and a general knowledge of banking laws, regulations and regulatory guidance
    • Must possess an unwavering commitment to customer serivce with the ability to build productive relationships, resolve complex issues and win customer loyalty
    • Able to actively listen to others and to articulate ideas, responses and solutions verbally and in writing to achieve successful outcomes
    • Must possess demonstrated knowledge of common lending processes and terminology
    • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment
    • Able to prioritize daily work load, work in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple tasks successfully
    • Able to perform independent analysis and interpretation of research requests
    • Able to establish positive working relationships with Relationship Managers and Relationship Associates
    • Demonstrated knowledge of AFS, Fields Tickler Tracking, CT Lien Solutions, SMEAD and Nautilus preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint required
