    • Review the Flood Hazard Determination for all new and renewing loans that contain real property with improvements that are located in a Special Flood Hazard Area.
    • Ensure the insurance requirements are calculated appropriately and the timing requirements are met for obtaining the Flood Hazard Determination. 
    • Effectively communicate any discrepancies related to the Flood Hazard Determination or other associated flood documentation to the appropriate Relationship Manager, Relationship Associate and/or Loan Closer responsible for the loan.
    • Reviewing and ensuring the Notice to Borrower of Structure in a Special Flood Hazard Area and Copy of Transmittal Letter for Notice to the Borrower was provided to the borrower within the prescribed regulatory timeframe.
    • Review the insurance policy documentation to ensure the appropriate amount and type of coverage has been obtained as required by the property type, value and regulatory requirements.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on flood insurance requirements and provide guidance to other employees involved in complying with flood regulations, seeking assistance and guidance from Compliance Advisory with unusual issues as they arise.
    • Occasionally perform funding reviews for daily commercial loan requests, working with Relationship Managers and Relationship Associates to correct documentation deficiencies prior to approving funding. 
    • Fund loans via Wire Transfer, drafts or account funding.
    • Perform recordation of UCC-1’s and UCC-3’s.
    • Responsible for ensuring file room standards and security of negotiable collateral under dual control procedures.
    • Cross-train in various Loan Operations’ functions to assist during peak times.


    • Minimum of eight years of loan operations or loan-related banking experience required, including a minimum of five years of commercial loan documentation, commercial loan funding and/or collateral tracking experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of flood insurance regulations and ability to apply regulatory knowledge to flood compliance processes.
    • Ability to effectively communicate flood requirements to senior management, Loan Operations staff, compliance and audit partners. 
    • Must have superior knowledge/and understanding of business entity document requirements and perfecting various collateral liens, including a working knowledge of consumer real estate compliance requirements.
    • Experience with collateral tracking software and AFS Level III and/or ACBS commercial loan software.
    • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; must be willing to work extended hours during peak times such as month-end and quarter-end.
