    Reporting to the SVP of Enterprise Technology Solutions, the Release Manager will be responsible for the lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. The coordination of releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. The Ideal Team Member will partner with Key Stakeholders and Lines of Business to provide a smooth deployment into environments while engaging external vendors.



    • Partner with key stakeholders and affected lines of business while engaging external vendors to provide a smooth deployment of applications.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and manage the release windows and cycles across the portfolio of enterprise applications
    • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
    • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting or exceeding expectations
    • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, and or operating system updates
    • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes to internal partners and executive leadership
    • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams and vendors at different locations
    • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
    • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
    • Monthly Release Reporting communication to stakeholders
    • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
    • Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and external vendors.
    • Continually work towards making improvements and drive efficiencies in the release process
    • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
    • Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
    • Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release scope and/or challenges
    • Maintain and document a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required
    • 3+ years of experience in the release process for On-Premise and Software as a Service solution required
    • 3+ years of previous release and/or project management experience required (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
    • 4+ years of experience in IT Operations environment required
    • 4+ years’ experience with agile methodology required and a strong understanding of waterfall methodology when necessary.
    • Demonstrated ability with effective leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams required
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills required
    • Experience participating in large, complex cross-functional projects preferred
    • Experience with Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodology preferred
    • ITIL Foundations v3 Certification preferred
    • Ability to develop and establish positive working relationships across the organization preferred
    • PMP certification is a plus
    • Previous Banking or Financial services experience is a plus
    • Results Oriented with excellent problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and decision making skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with focus on attention to detail
