The IT Category Manager as part of the Corporate Procurement group will be responsible for managing procurement strategies across technology spend categories. He/She will be responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders on medium/high complexity technology negotiations to deliver cost savings, quality of service, strategic sourcing, and value.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and build partnerships with key stakeholders to understand and deliver on requirements for sourcing, vendor partnerships, and Third Party Risk Management/Legal requirements
  • Responsible for IT sourcing strategy and negotiating contracts for multiple IT categories with a focus on delivering costs savings, enhancements, supporting the business,  and value/service level improvements
  • Provides performance metrics, including but not limited to value added in terms of savings negotiated, strategic sourcing, and contracting projects as well as transactional process improvements, opportunities to better manage costs and service levels
  • Assist in implementing Procure-to-Pay system and processes
  • Develop process and procedures for IT Category Management to align with purchasing best practices

Qualifications

  • 4-year College Degree required or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of extensive procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and IT category management experience required
  • Proven experience with the full life-cycle of procurement activities required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing and negotiating IT software, EULA, SOW’s, hardware contracts required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and professional experience with, different sourcing and procurement tactics and methodologies required
  • 5+ years of negotiating skills required
  • Ability to adapt negotiating style to Texas Capital Bank’s culture required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Proven experience translating complex procurement issues into layman’s terms for non-specialist audiences, including senior managers
  • Team player skills essential
  • Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem solving capabilities
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Demonstrated experience to form and maintain good working relationships with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders; some at senior levels
