    The Senior Vice President of Total Rewards will report to the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Development, who is a direct report to the CEO, and will be responsible for the following: 

    • Serving as a key member of the HR leadership team, demonstrating HR, financial, and business acumen beyond the scope of the Total Rewards role.
    • Crafting a Total Rewards strategy to align with and drive the performance of the business, considering competitive positioning, employee engagement and  reward.  Proactively researches, analyzes and assesses market data, incorporating industry trends and best practices into the Total Rewards strategy.  Innovates in alignment with company strategy.
    • Leading a high performing team consistently demonstrating strong communication skills, people leadership skills, and the ability to influence for desired outcomes.
    • Engaging with and actively managing vendors, auditors, and consultants for services and plan administration.
    • Effectively utilizing systems and serves as a resource to assess and implement system upgrades/enhancements.
    • Building long-term relationships that serve as a foundational element of individual/team success.

    Responsibilities

    Compensation

    • Works with the external consultant to the Human Resources Committee on the design and implementation of Board of Director and executive compensation programs. Leads preparation of the Board Human Resources Committee materials. Participates in meetings of the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors.
    • Directs the design and development of the company’s broad-based wage and salary programs and structures including competitive short and long-term incentive plans that are aligned with personal, team, and company objectives.   
    • Analyzes rewards programs to ensure that they align with business strategy, market competitiveness, and cost effectiveness. Ensures that rewards programs optimize the organization’s ability to attract and retain top talent.
    • Ensures compensation plans comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Partners with finance and legal organizations on SEC filing related matters.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA, or another relevant advanced degree, preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years Compensation and Benefits leadership in a publicly traded company.
    • Ability to influence for desired outcomes while demonstrating company values.
    • Financial and general business acumen that exceeds the typical expectation for the role.
    • Proven track record in designing and implementing total rewards strategy, in concert with senior management and the Board, including the preparation and presentation of Compensation Committee materials.
    • Proven success in designing, implementing and managing variable compensation strategies that achieve desired performance-based metrics and strategic goals as well as reinforce the right leadership and cultural behaviors.
    • Depth of experience working with compensation consultants, other key compensation vendors, and in delivering compensation related communications with major shareholders.
    • Demonstrable ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering and developing productive relationships with senior leadership and line managers across the business. Be recognized as the “go to” person for all compensation and benefits issues. Self-starter with a proactive and inquisitive nature who can anticipate and preempt problems.
    • Superior people leader, team builder and collaborator who navigates change well.
    • Proven ability to work effectively, in a growth company, helping to recruit, develop, and retain talent as part of a high-performing organization.  Excels in the face of high expectations.
    • Robust understanding of compliance and working effectively within SOX requirements, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, Workers Compensation and applicable labor and tax law and regulations.
    • Experience managing complex projects and budgets to align with business conditions.
    • CCP/CBP/CEBS/SPHR/PHR/SHRM certifications are a plus.
    • Banking/Financial Services experience is preferred, but not required.
