Responsibilities

  • Partners with Mortgage Finance business line to address business / technology needs and/or deficiencies involving process, product or technology. May lead and direct the work of others in a matrix, cross - functional team
  • Build strong relationships with both internal (such as IT, Risk, Reporting and Analytics) and external clients.
  • Assist with vendor management activities with assigned vendors for the applications owned / supported including, but not limited to upgrades, enhancements, implementations, customer impacts, vendor oversight and management
  • Manage change control process including running and being an active participant in User Acceptance Testing to support business changes and / or new code releases
  • Support Mortgage Finance by investigating operations-related problems/inquiries and recommend, facilitate and coordinate solutions
  • Support Mortgage Finance application and data needs
  • Manage Process, Product and Project Management duties for assigned business initiatives, work streams and operational components
  • Apply consultative approach to assist with functional planning and design, and operational procedural planning and design when implementing new systems and/or product enhancements
  • Lead detailed technical and functional business rules and requirements
  • Lead cross team collaboration to ensure projects and operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Create data mapping documentation, process flows and detailed test cases and scripts for Mortgage Finance applications
  • Ensure adherence to published Bank project management methodology, resulting in consistent development and implementation of project components

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Business, MIS) required
  • 10+ years of business experience in areas including:
    - Business Analysis and Project Management
    - Management consulting / internal change management
    - Product Analysis and/or Product Management
    - Process improvement
    - Operations Management
    - Vendor Management
  • Previous Banking / Financial Services / Mortgage Industry experience preferred
  • Previous Mortgage experience strongly preferred
  • Previous vendor experience with MBMS products (ProMerit and/or emBTrust) strongly preferred
  • Experience participating and leading large, complex cross-functional projects
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio for reports, analysis and presentations. Experience with SQL and MS Access is strongly desired.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to mentor team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills - with ability to present to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence, develop and establish positive working relationships across the organization
  • Proven results driving business analysis, strategy, project management, product management, and/or process improvement initiatives in a corporate environment, with the proven ability to coach, develop and mentor on best practices
  • Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills
  • Strong proven use of business assessment tools such as current state analysis/needs assessments, feasibility studies, business cases and cost/benefit analysis, etc.
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
