The Community Relations Specialist I is a highly visible role which will serve to coordinate employee volunteerism, plan events, promote brand awareness and liaise with the community. Texas Capital Bank is dedicated to serving our communities through our Corporate Social Responsibility program, and the specialist will play a crucial role in identifying and executing community serving opportunities.


  • Assist with the coordination of the volunteer activities of bank employees volunteer projects across five TCB markets of varying scale
  • Liaise with the community to identify volunteer opportunities and assure the bank is highly visible in the community through volunteer efforts
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Communications and outside vendors on corporate sponsorships, promotional events and community events
  • Facilitate Employee Engagement Committee meetings and objectives
  • Manage and track results of all events/activities and volunteer service hours state-wide, in a timely manner, and using TCB’s internal tracking system
  • Coordinate special events highlighting the banks’ investment in CRA developments and programs within designated market areas.
  • Design promotional graphics, posters and videos for internal events
  • Participate in annual grant cycle by reviewing, organizing and following up with grant proposals
  • Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assists the Manager of Community Relations and Grant Administrator with processing and documentation of charitable donations and sponsorships
  • Maintain community partners data in Salesforce


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, public relations and related fields
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Salesforce)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization skills and ability to effectively manage volunteer teams
  • Work independently with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Must have flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and/or on weekends
  • Travel required with occasional overnight travel; valid Texas Drivers License is required
  • Ability to lift 5 - 25 lbs.
