Texas Capital Bank is seeking a QA Manager to lead software testing of multiple technology initiatives for the bank. The initial focus for this role will be to partner with Project Managers, Software Engineers and business leaders to support testing of an Enterprise Data Warehouse initiative. The QA Manager will be responsible for supervising one or more teams of testing leads and analysts to create test plans and perform functional and technical software testing. of applications and delivery of transformative solutions for Texas Capital Bank. Utilizing automated UI, API and ETL testing tools, the successful candidate will be expected to require minimal supervision to deliver superior results for the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Participate or lead the testing process for various systems in the bank
  • Develop and execute all levels of testing, including hands-on testing as needed
  • Evaluate and test new or modified software programs to verify that the programs function according to business requirements
  • Review business, functional and technical requirements to form test plans and cases
  • Interact with business and technology representatives at all levels within the organization
  • Review new or modified applications, including documentation, diagrams and flow charts, to determine if application will perform according to business requirements
  • Create data mapping documentation, process flows and detailed test cases and scripts for assigned projects
  • Write, revise and verify quality standards and test procedures
  • Cross team collaboration to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure adherence to published project management methodology, resulting in consistent development and implementation of project components
  • Find issues within applications and enter them into an issue tracking system
  • Use technical, scripting and/or programming skills to create automated tests
  • Top level contributor or specialist that will provide consultation on complex projects to various departments in the bank

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of quality assurance and/or development experience, hands-on and supervising skills required
  • Experience with data testing required: ETL/SSIS, RDBMS/SQL and/or Big Data/NoSQL
  • Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures employed in quality assurance discipline (e.g., test plans, test cases, metrics) required
  • Results and detailed-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision (self-starter) required
  • Prior involvement with a structured SDLC methodology – including waterfall, iterative and agile preferred
  • Banking/Financial Services experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with MTM/TFS preferred
  • Requires initiative, judgment and the ability to perform with minimal supervision
  • Balanced blend of business consulting and information technology expertise
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple Project Teams and up to 3 projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization
  • Ability to document detailed process flows
  • Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills 
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience participating in large, complex projects
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio for reports, analysis and presentations
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime
  • Flexibility in schedule
