  • Perform daily selections of loans for In-Line Quality Assurance reviews
  • Monitor and assign loans in the Quality Control queue and ensure turntimes are met
  • Perform Pre-Purchase In-Line Quality Assurance procedural and component audits
  • Perform risk analysis and make decisions regarding deficiencies that may be identified during the review
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting guidelines as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Detection and prevention of fraud
  • Review, respond and resolve defects identified post purchase
  • Responsible for logging defects as well as responses from underwriting on root cause and action plans
  • Compile data for monthly Quality Control findings summary report
  • Prepare, ship and track loans sent to Investors as requested for Quality Control audits
  • Review, track and respond to missing document requests from Investor QC findings
  • Order transcripts and reverifications required for Post Purchase Quality Control audits
  • Perform online occupancy verifications utilizing LexisNexis and other fraud tools
  • Perform reporting and data analysis to identify defect trends and key risk indicators
  • Provide feedback to management on any identified defect trends, possible root cause and make suggestions on action plans
  • Assist other QC team members upon request


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of mortgage underwriting, processing and/or QC experience
  • Working knowledge of investor guidelines such as FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and USDA.
  • Knowledge of DU and LP
  • Ability to review documentation, perform analysis, validate and document potential risk
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including the use of pivot tables, charts and graphs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and adapt to change
