Texas Capital Bank is seeking a 3rd shift, overnight Network Operations Center (NOC) supervisor.  As a working supervisor you will be responsible for providing first point of contact monitoring and support for various bank applications, batch processes, infrastructure and critical system support. Successful candidates possess rate self-discipline and the ability to work with little to no direct supervision.  Work with a sense of urgency to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.   Communicate troubleshooting status to other internal teams as well as upper management.  Provide ideas and recommendations to continuously improve process and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of 3rd shift team
  • Acting as the first point of contact for application and infrastructure incidents and events
  • Monitor file transmissions, batch and automated job processing
  • Monitor and analyze the environment for technical issues, assess impact, troubleshoot, document, and resolve or escalate to internal teams or external vendors
  • Act as the Central Control Center and coordinate troubleshooting efforts across teams
  • Provide escalation and communicate updates to IT management
  • Create and maintain outage, shift reports, daily, weekly, and monthly trending and analysis reports
  • Conducts periodic system checks and monitors
  • Respond to basic security events and escalate to internal security teams
  • Proactively create and update Knowledge and WIKI documents
  • Follow defined process and procedures and provide feedback for improved efficiencies
  • Perform various duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring server and network infrastructure required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts required
  • In-depth technical knowledge of various monitoring tools required
  • Ability to make key decisions coordinate with various internal teams and direct others while troubleshooting issues and outages required
  • Strong technical background in Microsoft Windows, Linux, Storage, VMware, and networking technologies such as routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, and various security devices preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis preferred but not essential
  • Organization and critical thinking skills
  • Acts with a professional persona and is able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and escalate to technical experts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
  • Action-oriented attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Possess a precise attention to detail
  • Make recommendations of improvement in order to increase departmental efficiencies
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
