Texas Capital Bank is seeking a 3rd shift, overnight Network Operations Center (NOC) analyst. Successful candidates are able to work for extended intervals with minimal supervision.  You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues within network, telecom (voice), server, application, and data center facility environments. Monitor, coordinate, and escalate the resolution of IT outages with external vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for application and infrastructure incidents and events
  • Monitor file transmissions, batch and automated job processing
  • Monitor and analyze the environment for technical issues, assess impact, troubleshoot, document, and resolve or escalate to internal teams or external vendors
  • Provide escalation and communicate updates to IT management
  • Create and maintain outage and shift reports
  • Conducts periodic system checks and monitors
  • Proactively create and update Knowledge and WIKI documents.
  • Respond to basic security events and escalate to internal security teams
  • Follow defined process and procedures
  • Perform various duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring server and network infrastructure or 4 years general IT experience required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts required
  • Coordinate with various internal teams and collaborate with others while following documented troubleshooting procedures required
  • In-depth technical knowledge of various monitoring tools required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Strong technical background in Microsoft Windows, Linux, Storage, VMware, and networking technologies such as routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, and various security devices preferred
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis preferred but not essential
  • Organization and critical thinking skills
  • Acts with a professional persona and is able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and escalate to technical experts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
  • Action-oriented attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Possess a precise attention to detail
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
