Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and approve credit, operational, and reputational risks related to specialized relationships
  • Review specialized agreements to ensure risks and issues are appropriately addressed
  • Collaborate with internal groups in evaluating new or modified business arrangements and products; interface with legal counsel to develop appropriate documentation
  • Accompany Relationship Managers on client and prospect visits when necessary
  • Provide credit approval for other lending activities – assess acceptability of cash flow, collateral, structure, due diligence, loan agreement terms, and other key considerations of extending business credit
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in a credit and/or risk approval role
  • Completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent credit approval experience
  • College degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Thorough understanding of deposit and treasury products
  • Strong  interpersonal skills; ability to communicate policies, procedures and risk issues in a collaborative environment; represent the Bank positively to the public including cultivating working relationships with current and potential customers
  • Ability to apply the principles of credit risk management to credit exposures for treasury products and services
  • Ability to review legal agreements related to standard and specialized banking arrangements to ensure appropriate business terms are contained in the documents
